Sistema Nervioso Central:
Está constituido por el encéfalo y la médula espinal, situados en el cráneo y la columna vertebral, respectivamente. Están protegidos por las meninges, que forman una triple capa protectora de membranas para evitar su contacto con el hueso que los contiene. La capa más interna se llama piamadre, está adherida a la superficie delencéfalo y de la médula, es muy fina. Por encima se encuentra la capa aracnoides y entre ambas el líquido cefalorraquídeo con función protectora. La capa más externa es la duramadre, que en el cráneo es muy fibrosa y se adhiere al hueso.
