Icf

The ICF is adecentralized agency, office of the President of the Republic, which operates independently technical, administrative and financial as the executor of the national policy of conservation and forestry development. Protected areas and wildlife, with faculty to develop programs, projects, plans and create administrative units, and operational techniques necessary to achieve the objectives and purposes ofthe Act (Decree 98-2007).
The ICF was created by decree number 98-2007 issued by the National Congress of the Republic published on 26 February 2008 in the Official Gazette in its edition number 31544
The State through the National Institute of Forest Development and Conservation, Protected Areas and Wildlife (ICF), functions shall be the following: 

1) Manage the public forest resources toensure its rational and sustainable management;
2) Regulate and Control the private natural resource to ensure environmental sustainability;
3) To ensure the faithful compliance with the regulations related to the conservation of biodiversity;
