Activity 8 Laboratory of Free Fall
In this activity you will measure the representative physical quantities in free fall; you will use the graphical method to determinate, in a practical way theproduced acceleration of the gravitational attraction that the Earth exerts on the bodies that freely fall.
Instructions:
Stage 1: No presencial: 2hrs
1. After solving in you textbook the questionsand problems oif Free fall, guide by your teacher, you can perform this activity; form teams of 4 or 5 students, according to the indications of your teacher.
2. Necessary materials: severalmaterials (not glass) of different size and weights, chronometer, masking tape.
3. Drop the objects from 5 different heights: 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m and 3m.
4. Take the time that each object last infalling (performs this measurement 5 times and obtain an average of that time).
5. Do a table with the measurements of time that you obtained. Rise to the square the calculated time and place itin the next column.
