I Fear for the World
Although “Generation Y” or the “Millennial Generation” is still a decade away to become the leading order of the world, it isalready time to think about the problems we face in the future. We live in a world of increasing dangers that must be resolved. As upcoming leaders it is our responsibility to hold the torch against themost significant problems. In the near future massive poverty and overpopulation of the human species are two of the most significant issues that our generation will face. Additionally, climate changeis also endangering our entire global community. As part of this generation, I fear the idea of failure in resolving these issues, and not to mention I fear the issues themselves.
Massive poverty isand will continue to be the most evident obstacle for human development. Primarily, poverty is an important issue because it hampers entire communities from education. For example, a family who isstriving to survive will not be concerned about education. Unless food is available, and living conditions are suitable the guardians or parents of a family will not consider education a fundamental step.They would prefer to send off their kids to the streets were they are productive, instead of keeping them in a classroom. If the young generations of these extremely poor societies were to beeducated they would have a greater possibility to obtain a job, yet this rarely occurs. Secondly, poverty commonly leads to crime. Poor societies tend to be raised in rough environments. A violent nurtureleads to dangerous behaviors in the future. Under these conditions crime is seen as a viable solution.  Members of these societies opt to commit crimes due to the increasing lack of jobs and the growinglist of needs in their families. As long as a majority of the human population lives under poor conditions we will not be able to develop a fair society.
Overpopulation of the human species...
