INTRODUCTION
Panajachel is a tourist attraction, the most important natural resource that has, Lake Atitlan.
Between mountains and volcanoes, a place that promises to be an unforgettable experience is Sololá. Lake Atitlan offers a unique landscape that attracts visitors from all over the world. Therefore, to the department's economy, tourism is at a very important line. Handicraft production also relevant. The crafts are made in almost all municipalities in this department, and offered totourists in the markets, mixed with those from other regions of the country and are also marketed in Panajachel and other towns.

BRIEF HISTORY
