HALLOWEEN

Few people know that the "Halloween" as we know it today began to be celebrated for thousands of years (3.000 to be exact) in Ireland. The Celts performed there in late October and earlyNovember, a harvest festival called Samhain, the change of seasons, and for them it took on a magical importance.

History tells us that this day turned to the Celts in the most important sentence(end of harvest and the beginning of severe winter) because they were convinced that that night the window that separated the world of the living and the dead, disappeared. Christians arbitrarily determined that the way to convert theCelts to Christianity was taking the festival of the Celts and turn it into a religious one. That was how the first of November was called the "All Saints Day" and October 31 became the day before AllSaints' Day (All Hallow's eve), hence the name Halloween.

But some say that was held October 31 Covens of witches and that is the best night to contact spirits or see magical beings.
