Causes of Divorce

In today's society, divorce is more the norm than ever before. There are as many causes for divorce as there are people who divorce.

There are four main factors thatcontribute to divorce, such as lack of money, drug and/or alcohol abuse, immaturity of one or both parties, and lack of communication.
Commitments do not last. A couple stays married until times get hardor another person is found more attractive, or any number of other reasons.
Money is the first cause of divorce. In fact, the statistics of a survey conducted by Citibank on the divorce in theUnited States suggested that more than fifty percent of divorced couples cited money problems as the cause of their divorces. Couples often end up having disputes over money. In many cases one of thepartners is invariably not happy with the spending habits of the other individual. This can result in massive fights that finish in divorce.
A second cause of divorce is drug and/or alcohol abuse. Anyform of substance abuse can put a terrible strain on a relationship as substance abuse is often followed with abusive behavior. Many people cannot put up with the addictive behavior of their partners andthis causes divorce.
A third cause of divorce is immaturity of one or both parties. Immaturity on part of one of the partners and placing excessive demands on the partner are also some of the causesof divorce. Infidelity in particular has been responsible for breakdown of many relationships and marriages. Many times people have unrealistic expectations from marriage and what it is supposed tobe like and when this distorted view is not realized, it results in divorce.
A fourth cause of divorce is lack of communication. Lack of communication is also one of the common causes of divorce.Because of lack of communication people are unable to resolve problems and issues that occur within the relationship and the conflicts can in the end cause tremendous strain on the relationship....
