1- Which essentials elements of marriage are in danger until she gives up home?

Until Joanna gives up home, there are many elements of marriage which are in danger. We can not see mutual consent between Ted and Joanna, for Ted he must take work’s decision and his wife must to take house’s decision without asking each other if they are conform to that. This means that thereis no unity in the marriage, another essential element of marriage.
We neither can see a common project. Ted has in his mind that his obligation, as head of the family, is to bring bacon home and that his wife has to take charge of the housekeeper’s obligations.

2- Which essential elements of Kramer’s marriage are in danger from the moment in which father and son are alone?For a healthy marriage we need the whole family united. All the members of a family are essentials elements. Since the moment in which one of these elements disappears, the marriage is in danger.
A marriage is not something easy; there are many stones in the way and if we fall down, it is necessary to raise and follow the way. We cannot flee and give defeated to the first fall.
So, Joannacan not leave her home, her family, her son…without trying before to do something to save her marriage; even if it is just for the good of her child.

3- What has failed in Kramer’s relation? Do both recognize their fault with each other? Would you say that both still love each other? Which moment seems to show that they are still in love?

What failedin Kramer’s relation is their relation as husband and wife. They did not respect the elements of marriage, and without these elements it is impossible to have a healthy family life. This is the reason of why Joanna goes mad, while Ted can not see that his marriage is going to break up.
Both, Ted and Joanna recognize their fault with each other when they are fighting for the child’s custody.Joanna recognized that give up home was not the best idea and Ted recognized too, that he was not giving the sufficient attention to his family.
I do not think that they still love each other. In my opinion, they feel respect, fondness and affection each other, but just that. I think that the only thing that joins them is the love that they have to their son.
At first, Ted wanted that Joannareturned home, but I think that what Ted really wanted is all Joanna’s work returned home, because he does not know how to do it. I think that it is in this moment when he realizes the hard work of Joanna. Once he learned, he just wants his son home and continues with his new life.

4- Does the father’s job in the film seem realistic nowadays? What would you advice anyone in the same situation thanthe father at the beginning of the film?

I see Ted’s job realistic nowadays, but probably the status of the head of the family has a little bit change. He continues to be the one who “brings home the bacon” but also plays a role in house with his family. The role of the mother has also change. Nowadays, the mother also works out of the house, something which was unexpectedsome years ago.
We can say that society has change; the roles of both are more equitable now. And in my opinion this is something positive for the unity and common project of the marriage and family life.

5- Could you briefly describe the reasons that lead the mother to her psychological breakdown?
