Strong People is admirable, they are heroes. When somebody has obstacles and adversities in life, turns to someone stronger. Most of heroes in real life are strong, that is why they can help otherpeople and even themselves.
I admire Joan of Arc because of her strength. She is a French heroine and saint. At the age of 13 she confessed that St. Miguel, St. Margarita and St. Catalina told her tobe devote and pious the rest of her life. God gave her a very difficult mission: lead the French Army. The mission was hard, not only because she had to finish war, but also because she was a woman.She was caught by the English Army and accused of witchcraft, with the argument that the voices she heard were from the devil. She was executed in 1431. She is now considered a martyr for always beingstrong and crossing obstacles. She grew like a strong and fierce woman.
Another example is Edgar Allan Poe, my favorite writer: North American poet, short story writer and critic. His parents, theateractors, died when he was just a little boy. Poe was adopted by a wealthy man, John Allan and started studying at the University of Virginia but quit for a while because of gambling and drinking. Hisfather gave him a position in the familiar commerce but he quit and went to London to start his writing career. He enrolled to the army, in which stay two years because he was expelled for negligenceof his labors. Poe have already written three books and got married with his young cousin, Virginia Clem. Because of the long illness of his wife, their marriage became one of the bitterestexperiences in his life. When she died his drinking and drug problem got severe. Both of them were probably the cause of his death. Edgar Allan Poe had a really hard life, but he said that this was theinspiration for all his incomparable writings, in other words without his strength he would not be one of the most original writers in the history.
