Summary
Ray is a divorced man who is going to spend a weekend with his kids. But a lot of strange things start to happen and many people start to die, so hebecomes a brave man and the good father he never was and tries to save his son and his daughter of being killed.
The movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and starring by Tom Cruise,Dakota Fanning and Morgan Freeman (as the narrator). It lasts two hours (approx.)
Plot
Ray doesn’t get along very well with his son and daughter, so when his ex-wife asks him totake care of them he’s not excited at all. When they’re at home suddenly a rain of thunders starts, at the beginning they think it’s funny but then they noticed it’s very dangerous.Ray goes to the street to see what is happening and he sees a big machine which is killing people, destroying them. That machine was buried in the ground.
He gets very scared andhe steals a car and leaves that place with his family but, in the middle of the road all the people try to get his car and finally they get it.
Ray doesn't give up and keeps goingby feet and taking care of his children, but his son Robbie asks him to let him go with the promise they'll meet in Boston. Finally he does. Ray and his daughter get caught by thebig machine (which is managed by aliens) but when they're taking him he takes a granade and puts it inside the machine. It explodes. Finally he gets to his ex-wife’s house in Bostonwith his daughter and he sees that his son Robbie is there, alive!
Opinion
I liked the movie a lot; I've never seen it before. I think it was very exciting and with a good idea.I'll recommend it and I'd watch it again even if the genre is not one of my favorites, I don't like science fiction a lot but this movie was really good.
