Air France's slogan is "Making the sky the best place on Earth."
Airfrance was formed on 7th October 1933, from a merger of Air Orient, Air Union, Compagnie Générale Aéropostale, CompagnieInternationale de Navigation Aérienne (CIDNA), and Société Générale de Transport Aérien (SGTA). It is a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group since 2003 and a founding member of the Sky Team globalairline Alliance. This airline is a based in Roissy-en France, France, and is a one of the world´s largest Airlines. Air France flies to 20 domestic destination and operates Worldwide Schedulepassenger and freight services to 150 international destinations in 83 countries (including overseas departaments and territories of France). The airline´s global hub is at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport,with Paris Airport, Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport, and Nice Côte d´Azur Airport serving as secondary hubs. Air France's corporate headquarters, previously in central Paris.
Air France operates a mixedfleet of Airbus and Boeing wide-body jetliners on long-haul routes, and utilises Airbus A320 family aircraft on short-haul routes. It have 621 airplanes for a passengers and 12 to cargo.
At thedifferent stages of the customer's trip, Air France offers a wide array of solutions, from the simplest to the most exclusive, but always personalized. This means providing passengers with a tailored service,whatever their budget, tastes, culture or language.
Board of directors
The board of directors comprises 18 directors:
• 6 "executive" directors including a representative of the AIRFRANCE KLM company - 5 independent directors,
• 1 director representing the French State,
• 6 employee representatives including:
o one representative appointed by flight crewso one representative appointed by cabin crews
o four representatives appointed by other employees including one management representative.
