You are not required to attend AdvancedEnglish today (Monday). Instead, you can work on developing material for Essay 2 by composing two
paragraphs: one in which you present your first impressions of the painting you picked (for our lastmeeting) and another in which you present your thoughts or ideas about the painting after careful observation and reflection. Begin the "first-impressions" paragraph with a sentence in which you namethe painting and the artist; begin the other paragraph with a sentence in which you name the painting, Bring a hard copy of each paragraph to our next class meeting.
