“From the streets to the University”
I never though a movie could touch your heart so deep. I think this is not just a movie; it is a real and daily history that takes place even in the mostcosmopolitan cities. We only see the pretty side of a city but there’s a contrasts that it’s not always pretty.
There are millions of families destroyed by the drugs, sex, alcoholism, violence, etc. This isnot a new history. Nowadays, this is kind of common. Sometimes this reality makes me feel sad because I would like the things were different.
I remember that feeling while I was watching the movie,a feeling of protection. I was thinking: “Oh God let me pray for that sick woman. Let go a talk to that girl and tell her that you loves her. That you care about her life, even when everything isfalling down”.
The reality is that our sins bring consequences in our lives. Sometimes serious consequences. We could think that God would never forgive us and He is just going to blame us if we getclose of Him. This a lie that I some place of my life I used to believe until I got close to God and He forgave all my sins, bad decisions, rebellions and mistakes in my life.
He sent his Son to die forus. The punishment of ours sins He carried it like and exchange. Sometimes people can live in a hell. Their homes are really dangerous war zones every day. We should know that God really wants to tellthem that He has already overcome all that situations and we can have hope in His love.
Coming back to the movie, I just feel love for that girl. Not love like a romance or sorry. I refer love fortaking action and go to tell her: “Jesus loves you”. Its truth that she overcame all those situations by giving everything in the battlefield but what we do not realize is that she has deep wounds inher heart.
She became a successful woman with a nice job in the New York Times. But she said: “I would change everything if I could take my family back”. She understands that materialism cannot...
