Amber World Museum is a private Museum, born from the initiative of Jorge Caridad,founder and president of the Factory Amber
AMBASA. On September 5, 1996 ItWas Inaugurated along With The celebration of thefifth centennial of the founding of the city of Santo Domingo in 1496.

Ambar Museum (Puerto Plata.)
This is the pricipal amber museum inthe country and is located in Puerto Plata by the proximity of the most important and richest deposits of amber in the world. It is estimated that the age of these deposits may be around 26 millionyears.
Amber is a very appreciated by the world's most important jewelry since the resin of thisplant contains fossils of prehistoric amber for millions of years.

It has over 300 pieces on display.
