The color bluein the Costa Rican Flag represents the sky;
The color white symbolizes clear thinking, happiness, wisdom and peace;
And the color redrepresentsthe Costa Rican people, their love of life, their blood they shed when they fought for their freedom.
Fun Facts: It was designed after the ideals of the French Revolution - freedom, equality, andbrotherhood - and the colors of the French National Flag.
The law in Costa Rica forbids citizens from flying any Costa Rican flags other than on national holidays.
Scarlet Macaw
Present TheScarlet Macaw. Mention That It Is Not The National Bird Of Costa Rica, but the “Yiguirro” Also Known As The Gray-Colored Thush.
-Costa Rica Is Also The home to 8% of the worlds birds. Carryingapproximately 870 species. It offers the best bird watching sights. It is home in such national parks (Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Santa Elena Reserve, Children’s Eternal Rainforest Reserve, and CocosIsland) to some of the most exotic and rare birds, including the one drawn (point to bird) “ The scarlet Macaw” An endangered “parrot” species found in the forests of south and central america.

Costa Rica Is the home of monarch butterflies, most are orange and black but we decided to draw a very especific on, called the costa rican morpho butterfly, (describe color)who makes way every year all the way from north america to where most of the population ends up in there.

Costa Rica Has 112 Volcanoes Although only 6 of them are active. The ArenalNational Park is one of the Biggest National Parks In Costa Rica, which also contain a huge lake called el lago Arenal, the park is named After The Volcano “Arenal” But this volcano is also one of themost active volcanoes in the world.
