Public speaking is a tool that mankind has to interact with each other and share our
thoughts, emotions, and any other topic that we mightconsider necessary. Nowadays, it
is very important in every single aspect of our life, we have to able to communicate our ideas
clearly anywhere: work, school, home and amongst friends. Now,what happens when you just
cannot speak in front of others? The fear of public speaking or speech anxiety is called
Glossophobia .That is when our mind goes blank and we have no control over ourbody reacting to the sensation. We start sweating, blushing, shaking, we lose focus, and
any form of body language. We are actually afraid of making a mistake in public or making a
fool outof ourselves. The nervous system thus pours adrenaline into the body, and the body
reacts when it’s frightened. I know it is very frustrating and we feel as if we are losers,
cowards andincompetents. It's a social phobia that is related to self-presentation in front of an
audience. Scientists call it sometimes social anxiety disorder. This is a problem that most people
experience andis more common than we think . I collected and made a list of some facts based
of speech anxiety to motivate us to find a solution for it, because there is.
