Purpose: To enable students to describe past events in their life and that of others
Social practice:Giving: Giving and obtaining factual information of a personal and non-personal kind.
Performance evidence: Students can recognize and understand quotidian text (brochures, advertisements, magazine/ newspaper articles, classified advertisements, letters / e-mails and conversation).
Reflection on language: that the past simple tense indicates actions/situations that started and finished at acertain moment in the past.
Strategic competence: Ss can use some verbal and non-verbal information to ease and enrich communication.
