Vocabulary: Objects of school and a house, clothes, numbers and animals.
Topic:
“our place in the world”
Final task or project:
In pairs, the students have to choose one South American country and write a paragraph about the different types of houses in thatspecific country. Then, they have to draw the corresponding flag and colour it. Finally, both students will have to expose, orally, their work to the class.

Goals and objectives:
At the end of the unit of work, the students will be able to:
_ Identify most of the different flags of the world.
_ Describe the different parts of the house.
_ Use prepositions of places in context.
_ write theiraddress.
_ Share information with the rest of the students.
_ Learn differences between countries around the world (typical animals and types of houses).
_ Use demonstrative adverbs to indicate the position of different objects.
_ write a descriptive paragraph.
_ Give short negative and positive answers using present simple.
_ Read and understand articles about the topic.
_ Identify andpronounce the letters of the alphabet, in English.

Day by day process:
Day 1:
*Objectives: during the lesson students will develop their ability to identify different objects, parts of the house and work with prepositions of place.
*Activities: _Teachershows students a poster with a big house drawn on it. There are different objects which are missing. Students have to find them and say in which part of the house they are, and describe their exact location making sentences (individually).
_when everybody has finished the sentences, teacher choose a student to read one of his sentences aloud but without saying the object, only their location andthe part of the house where it is.
The rest of the class tries to discover the missing object through the student’s description.
Day 2:
*Objectives: students will develop the ability to listen and understand a short report, and give short answers about it, using present simple.
*Activities: _ Teacher plays a recorder that relates a report about typical animals of different countries aroundthe world. Students listen to it paying special attention on the names of the animals, the country they are from and the things they usually do. Students take note.
_ Teacher hands out a photocopy with some questions on it about the animals and their location in the world. Students have to give short answers using present simple (3rd person singular). Correction is made orally with the studentsand the teacher.


Day 3:

*Objectives: _Students will develop the ability to identify and pronounce the letters of the alphabet in English, and to identify some of the flags of the world, also to write their address.
*Activities: _ Students open their books in page 12 and listen to the letters of the alphabet. Then in turns, the students repeat two or three letters.
