DETERMINACIÓN CUANTITATIVA DEL GRADO DE RIESGO DE INCENDIO EN UNA EMPRESA

RESUMEN
Se realizó un análisis de la metodología de determinación del grado de riesgo de incendio a que se
hace referencia en el apéndice A de la NOM-002-STPS-2000, misma que es retomada,
textualmente, en la NOM-030-STPS-2006, relativa a los servicios preventivos de seguridad y salud
en el trabajo –Organización y funciones (STPS, 2006) concluyéndose que se tratade una
determinación cualitativa, por lo tanto subjetiva y presa fácil de las ambigüedades. La empresa es
una sola entidad y es mucho más que la suma de sus partes, para analizar su grado de riesgo de
incendio se requiere de una determinación cuantitativa, objetiva y por lo tanto presa difícil de las
ambigüedades, en consecuencia se propone el desarrollo e implementación de una metodologíapara la determinación cuantitativa del grado de riesgo de incendio. Para determinar el grado de
riesgo de incendio en la empresa o centro de trabajo, el patrón debe seleccionar y calificar el rubro
del formato que más se apegue a las características de su empresa o centro de trabajo.
Posteriormente cotejará el total de puntos obtenidos con los criterios de puntaje para determinar el
grado deriesgo de la empresa o centro de trabajo. La determinación cuantitativa del grado de riesgo
de incendio, al tratarse de una determinación numérica, tiene la ventaja de que ante dos
evaluaciones en un mismo escenario, realizada por dos personas distintas y competentes en la
materia, se obtienen resultados invariablemente iguales.

ABSTRACT
An analysis of the methodology were performed to determining the fire´s risk rate which is referenced
to in Appendix A of the NOM-002-STPS-2000, which is re-taken, textually, in the
NOM-030-STPS-2006 with relation to health and safety´s preventive services into the work Organization and functions (STPS, 2006) ending with it´sa qualitative determination, therefore,
subjective and an ambiguities' easy prey. Company is a single entity and it's much more than the sum
of its parts, to analyze their fire's risk rate is required a quantitative and objective determination and
thus an ambiguities difficult prey, so it's proposed the development and implementation of a

workplace, the employer must select and qualify the format that most looks like to the characteristics
of his company or workplace. Later, will compare the sum of points obtained against the scoring
criteriato determine the risk rate in the enterprise or workplace. Fire's risk rate quantitative
determination, being a numerical determination, has the advantage that two evaluations in the same
stage, performed by two different and competent peoples in their field, will get invariably the same
results.

El grado de riesgo deincendio, se define como la probabilidad baja, media o alta de que
suceda un incendio o no y se determina mediante la aplicación de alguna metodología de análisis de
