How extensive are the labor regulations in USA?
The minimum wage had been increasing since 2007, the minimum value in all of those years was $5.85 per hour in July 24, 2007; the next years increase $6.55 in the 2009 $7.25 per hour. There are differences in each state, but the minimum wage goes from $5.15 that is the minimum wage in Wyoming to $8.25 in Columbia. Those are the minimum and maximum values establish in this year for the FLA. There are states like South Carolina that they don´t have a minimum wage they only let the market go by itself. The youth minimum wage, that consist in the payments to people less than 20 years of age a lower wage for the 90 days that they are working in an enterprise or for somebody. Any wage rateabove $4.25 an hour may be paid to eligible workers during this 90-day period.
It should also be noted that there are a number of employment practices that the FLSA does not regulate. For example, FLSA does not require:
* vacation, holiday, severance, or sick pay;
* meal or rest periods, holidays off, or vacations;
* premium pay for weekend or holiday work;
* pay raises or fringebenefits; and
* a discharge notice, reason for discharge, or immediate payment of final wages to terminated employees.

OVERTIME, COMMISSIONS AND THE MINIMUM WAGE, HIRING, FIRING.
When a person, an employer requires an employee to work is an obligation to pay them that overtime premium pay for that. When a person is working moreof what they are normally working is naturally that they will like to receive an additional payment of what the enterprise normally give to them. So for that right the workers have, the time the FLSA put a restriction, if they work more that the 40 normal hours weekly they will have to receive an additional of at least the double. If they are planning to pay the hour that they didn´t assist induring the week is a different case they are no intervening there. That will let in an agreement between the employer and employee. The FLSA provides exemption for minimum wage and overtime pay for employees employed as bona fide executive, administrative, professional, and outside sales employees. It also exempts certain computer employees. They have to qualify all the cases to take a decisionabout if it is an exemption or not. For example people with a salary basis at not less than $455 per week is accomplishing a requirement to be consider as a exemption, it depends on many others factors.
