Senior Year

LAST YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL
It is said that moments have passed and memories do last, now that I am a senior in high school I constantly think about myfuture, about university, and the decisions I have to make. People always say that senior year is the best year of your life, the year where you hangout with friends and the year in which you have the time of your life. I feel very nostalgic because of the fact that the time in my school is comingto an end. As time goes by I´m beginning to experience a mix of emotions, I feel excitement and anticipation for starting the next phase of my lifebut at the same time I feel sad and scared at the thought of leaving memories and friends behind.

I always thought that it was going to take a verylong time to reach senior year, but now that I am here I finally understood why adults talk about time being so quick. I think there are many advantagesas well as disadvantages of anyone´s last year in high school, for example, now that me and my friends are the oldest in our school, we are the oneswho know best the school, the teachers, and for that reason I think we feel sure and comfortable. On the other hand I think that when we are at anevent or a celebration we cannot help but think that it will be our last time to be there. For that reason I think that senior year is a happy year whereyou experience a lot of things but it is also a sad and nostalgic year because it is the last year of everything you have experienced for a long time.
