Tell Them Not to Kill Me, by Juan Rulfo

I enjoyed reading, “Tell them not to kill me,” but I thought it was really intense. It brought up so many different emotions in me. I think, I was supposedto draw parallels between the story and Mexico, but I was so involved in to the main character of the story and it distracted me, I suppose, from really seeing beyond the obvious. His son is telling him that if they kill him, there will be no one to take care of his wife and children. Juvencio does notconsider for a minute that if that happen then his son would be one of his many victims too. He caused so much pain and suffering, but can only see his own, until the end. The narrative, mostly written...
