When we speak of education, we should note that both teacher and student have a responsibility in order for it to be properly given, received, and clearly understood.Throughout my lifetime I’ve been through many classes and have had many opportunities to observe some of the factors that affect how we learn. I’ve seen some teachers that lack the experience to dealwith kids of different learning capabilities. It makes sense to me that teachers can’t read student’s minds and can’t guess who needs help and who doesn’t. Some students don’t study and expect to getgood grades. Some students are undisciplined and therefore do not focus on what is being taught in class. As a result, students fail often but I’ve also witnessed teachers pass students through theschool system rather than keeping them in a grade that is consistent with their abilities. Both teacher and student are ultimately responsible for the learning experience. In the book The Education wefind that Jesus is the only flawless Teacher to have ever lived. If He is a flawless Teacher, then it is safe to say, that the learning experience depends entirely on the attitude and level ofcommitment of the student.
In this chapter titled The Teacher Sent from God we see a teacher that was sent to earth. This was no ordinary teacher, but was in fact The Teacher. The One who had been in Edenproviding knowledge to Adam and Eve and Whom throughout centuries had inspired His follower, and also empowered them to be faithful and victorious had made Himself available to humanity. He was indeed areflection of all qualities that had been given from above to the faithful; except for He was all of those qualities to a perfect degree. This world was so dark that it was no longer effective us toshine the light that we were receiving from God, but He himself would have to come to the world and be the Light to the world. Jesus was like a tutor, showing us by example how to get the job done....
