The Industrial Revolution Was Not Good
It is widely known that the industrial revolution was the period of time whenfactories and machines were popularized. And that might have some positive effects, like improvements in medicine, life conditions, production of goods, and an increase on population. But to me, theincrease of population was not good, it is never good, because it can lead to an overpopulation, and therefore hunger. Besides all those machines created in the industrial revolution, lead people towant more, more power, more money, and therefore to the creation of more environmental threatening machines. Those factories consume natural goods like oil and water, and they also pollute our airstarting and accelerating global warming. And smog is not good for health either, so medical advances are shaded by that.
Some of the world’s revolutions have started because of the working class howit was generated by the industrial revolution, like for instance the Spanish civil war, which started because people wanted better working conditions, and therefore they though the best to achieve itwas terminating monarchy. And there was many innocent people killed during that war.
The industrial revolution was characterized by the exploitation of thousands of workers and kids. They wereforced to work under awful conditions, very late, and their payment was not very good. True it is that exploitation did no came out of the industrial revolution, but was there long ago, but theindustrial revolution was a mechanism to “legalize” that exploitation, by paying them.
