Introducción

Miguel Mihura nació en Madrid en 1905. Era hijo de un actor y un empresario de teatro, vivir con este padre le influyó a la hora de decidir su vocación hacia el teatro.
El joven Mihura abandonó sus estudios para dedicarse al humor y la historieta en revistas como Gutiérrez, Buen Humor y Muchas Gracias.
Durante losaños veinte, trabajó como periodista donde conocerá a importantes periodistas del género humorístico como Tono, Edgar Neville y Enrique Jardiel Poncela; este último le influyó poderosamente en el estilo. Mihura fue uno de los fundadores de las revistas La Ametralladora y La Codorniz.
