What War Is?

Do you know what war is? Or are you one of those kids who think that it is like a videogame? War involves more things that a videogame shows. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary of the EnglishLanguage war is “a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations… a period of such armed conflict,” but do you understand what war is with that definition? Itmight sound very clear, but in this essay I will explain to you in another way why the people go to war? What happen during war? And what happens after the war?
I, as a Latin, also love videogames. Whenyou are playing war videogames do you ever stop to think on why the people go to war? People go to war for many different reasons: territory, resources, money, petroleum, etc. It is just like thevideogame “Age of the Empire,” You start with a small civilization, and your goal is to make it bigger, so you have to start to fight with another civilization to get them territory, and resources.Everyone who is playing that game feel good when they are getting more territory and resources; have you seen what is happen during that process?
What happens during war? During that process onecivilization is winning and the other one is losing, some people kill and others die. The difference between a videogame and war is when you die in a real war you do not get another life to start again. Thesoldiers in a real war are protecting or defending their state or nation. In videogame soldiers do not have feeling and family, but in a real war they have it. During the war so far away from home andtheir family, they are always worrying and suffering for their love ones. During a war you can see a lot of suffering and concerns, but what is next?
What happens after the war? Too many things happenafter the war, it is not like the videogames that you just have to turn it on again and everything is ok. After a real war some countries are broke, the economy goes down, and lots of people dead....
