Chapter 1
1. In order to meet his landlord who was also his nearest neighbour. MLock was hoping to be friend
2. Hff was a handsome gentleman with a dark complexion. He seemed intelligent but wasalso very rude and unfriendly.
Chapter 2
1. A young man called HEarnshaw and a young woman who was Hff’s daughter in-law.
2. Heathcliff was very rude and acted as if he hated them.
Chapter 3
1.Because it was too dark to find his way and the moors were covered in deep snow. MLock was afraid he’d get lost.
2. Mr Lockwood heard strange noises outside,and when he opened the window, a strangeyoung woman grabbed his hand and asked him to let her in. He was terrified.
3. It was frightening. Heathcliff’s face was white and his hand trembled. He was full of anger and pain and told Mr Lockwood toleave that room at once.
Chapter 4
1. Nelly was Mr Lockwood’s housekeeper. She had worked in WH as a servant.
2. He thought the boy came from the devil. He kicked him down the stairs and threw himinto the stable.

2. Mr Earnshaw died and Hindley returned home with his wife, Frances.

2. Cathy confessed that she loved Hff but that she would marry ELinton to be a rich lad
3.Heathcliff went away and nobody saw him for a long time.
4. Cathy went out in the rain to look for him and became dangerously ill.
Chapter 8
1. Cathy was taken to the Linton’s house, ThrushcrossGrange.
2. Cathy and Edgar Linton were married.
3. Heathcliff appeared six months later.
4. Cathy was very happy. Ed called Hff a gypsy but allowed Cathy to receive him.
