2) L: History
Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United Statescommemorating the adoption of the Independence Declaration on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
M: Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades,barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history,government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the national day of the United States
3) D: The last celebration of Independence Day
Food, barbecues and competitions around thecountry were accompanied by fireworks in the commemoration of 235 anniversary of the Independence Declaration. President Obama had lunch with soldiers this important day.
Thousands of people campednear the Washington Monument waiting for the traditional festivities while others were put summer clothes and made barbecues. In Boston, the main attraction was the usual annual concert, but in Ohiothe attraction was the food festival of ribs. So from east to west, across the country lived the party according to their customs, with parades and costumes.
The day before of this day, the presidentand Secretary of State Hillary Clinton greeted the Americans through a video, which paid particular attention to the soldiers who are overseas.

TheContinental Congress of the United States declared independence in their Convention in Philadelphia on July 4th 1776. At first, the celebrations were dispersed and sporadic, but as the years passed, thetradition of parades, picnics, and fireworks was to grow and prosper.
