Buddhism is one of the greatestspiritual facts and interesting in the history of mankind. In sharp contrast to the somewhat exotic and sensual nature of Hinduism, liberating doctrine of Siddhartha Gautama is presented as a system (ethical)based on reason and human nature, with large moral and psychological implications.
Buddha was born about 563 BC in Lumbini, a place of northeastern India, located at the foot of the Himalayas andclose to Nepal. Deriving their teaching from their own experience, he preached his first sermon near Benares, and taught for 45 years until his death in Kapilavastu around 480. He died, like manyothers, of natural causes at eighty years, but unlike other "extinguished" completely , "to not being born or suffer again."
