Is Abortion a Kind of Murder?

Do you think a baby deserves to live? Why a baby that is in it's gestation time don't? One day, in the doctor's office, onewoman came in. She was holding a baby in her arms and came in a hurry. She told the doctor that she was pregnant, but she already has a baby of one year, so she couldn't maintain 2 babies. The doctor answer her that ok, she just need to hand the baby to him. Almost instantly she reply to him that what she wanted was to do abortion. The doctor then asks her "what is the difference between the babyin your hands, and the one you are going to give birth to?" in that moment the women stood up and walked home. This little anecdote illustrates what abortion is. Even though the baby hasn’t born yet, it doesn't mean that it isn't alive.

Most of the time the adolescents want to experiment new thing which is why the have unprotect intercourse which may lead to an undesirable pregnant. The realissue is that nowadays most of the people think that woman can make with their body what they want, and to a certain extension is correct, but when is about a new life what we are talking, is a different matter. Maybe the common thinking or maybe the most used phrase is “I would not choose to have an abortion myself, but I would not force my view on someone else.” This is what characterize most ofthe Costa Rican people, because of the church many have learn to acknowledge the life, but still, many young people choose to abort because is the easiest way.

A little plant that someday it will become a big tree, not many people would dare to destroy it. This little plant has the potential to become something big, a little fetus will become a full human live that will contribute to our nationor world. If a person kills another one it becomes murder, so why killing a fetus, which is a person, isn’t?

The core issue
In the middle of abortion issues lies the principal question: “Is abortion a form of murder?” If you kill a live that isn’t completely form yet are you a murder? First of all we have to set some prior points. Most of the anti-abortion side states that even if the womanhas the right to do whatever she wants with her body, if the baby is part of a violation or some other cases where the baby is not the girls’ faults they would be in favor of letting the girl decide. The same applies for the pro-abortion side, most of them would not agree to kill the baby after is born, because then applies a different set of rules. But, for the pro-abortion part, if the baby isnot born yet it is the same as a nonhuman so it does not rise to the level of murder.

There is an important question that we must answer: “When a life does begin?” If we ask that question to a religion person, he or she will may answer: In Jeremiah 1:4-5 says “Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; Iappointed you as a prophet to the nations.’” So if we base in this, the bible is telling us that even we were conceived God already knows us, and therefore there was life. There are many other passages about how the human life begins prior the conception, and how god knows all the people that exists and the ones that haven’t even been born yet, this is why the church is completely against the...
