Activity 1: UN Model Actor Mapping

Objectives
The student will formulate a document mapping key actors involved in the issue raised by the group for the FINAL PRESENTATION, whichwill be useful to inform the INTERNATIONAL ACTORS to defend in their position inside the conflict you are investigating.

Instructions
1.-In teams you must perform a mapping of key actorsidentifying international and national actors involved in the general context of the conflict.
2.-Synthesize them in a matrix.

Remember
The key actors can significantly influence (positively or negatively thesituation). You will BRING a pair of flip charts, post it notes and markers.

Step 1. Identify. Conduct a brainstorming about external actors that influence, or should have it on the problem posed.Write the name of each actor identified in a post it different.

Step 2. Sort. In a flip chart draw a table where you will classified the players into groups of similar actors known as clusters.States

MNC
World leaders












Place each international actor name in the column where you think it belongs.

Step 3. Define the level ofinterest and influence that each actor would have to resolve the issues raised and the level of interest they would have in the resolution the conflict.

Step 4. Conclude in a matrix of actors like the oneshown below. You must locate the actors according to their degree of power (high, medium, and low) and the actors position on the proposed intervention (in favor, indifferent or opposed).


Step 5.Take a picture of your table and your matrix and upload it in discussion board at the end of the class.
