ADISTEM BIO-AESTHETIC QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
THE CONSULTATION

1. How does the process work?
A minimally invasive mini-liposuction procedure is performed to acquire approximately 200 cc‟s of adipose tissue (fat) from you. Your physician will explain to you where the fat will be taken from and answer any questions you may have about this procedure. The clinic staff will then separate your stemcells from the collected fat and transfer the stem cells back into your target tissue areas later that same day.
2. What is AdiStem process?
AdiStem is an autologous cell therapy that uses the patient‟s own stem cells in sufficient quantity to correct regenerate injured areas of the body. This could be joints such as the knee, feet, shoulder, etc. It can also be used as a rejuvenation for thefacial skin, neck, décolletage, and more. It is the first and only natural process to use the patient‟s own cells to repair and rejuvenate the skin.
3. How does AdiStem work?
AdiStem is based on the fact that the human body has the ability to repair itself, but due to factors such as aging, oxidation, and environmental damage, the cellular components required for skin repair may be depleted.
TheAdiStem process enables the body to increase collagen production by introducing more collagen producing cells to specific areas. These cells will continue to stimulate collagen production over many years.

6. Is it a safe procedure?
Yes. AdiStem is biologically similar to other autologous cellular treatments. To date, over 15,000 patients have been treated worldwide. We are not aware of anysignificant serious adverse events. Some minor adverse events have been reported, mainly due to swelling and redness at the injection site. This is consistent with any injectable medical treatment.
AdiStem uses the patient‟s own cells, which substantially reduce the possibility of an allergic reaction compared to the risks involved in the use of fillers such as bovine collagen or synthetic fillers. The body recognises the new cells as its own and does not reabsorb or reject them as it does with foreign materi

7. How long does AdiStem take to work?
Clinical studies show that some patients see results in as little as weeks, whereas other individuals may experience a gradual improvement over several months. However, from that point on, patients see a continued cell growth for up to 18-24months, with many continuing to see the improvement for up to seven years following treatment.
8. Why does it take time to see improvement?
AdiStem is a process that assists the body in its own natural healing. It therefore takes the body‟s own timescale to repair and rejuvenate following stimulation with new productive cells.
9. How long do the results last?
The benefits of the AdiStemtreatment can last indefinitely, as the cells continue to boost the body‟s own tissue production thus repairing the joint or skin over time. The patient‟s immune system recognises the injected cells as the patient‟s own and does not reabsorb them or reject them as it does with other foreign materials such as Botox, collagen or hyaluronic acid.
11.As an aesthetic treatment, what is the difference betweenthis and fillers?
AdiStem is NOT a dermal filler but a new concept that stimulates collagen production and significantly increases the number of active skin cells bellow the creases and wrinkles. It does so through a natural process that uses the patient‟s own cells to repair and rejuvenate the skin, producing safe, effective and long-lasting results. Fillers involve the introduction ofmaterials or cells that are not the patient's own into the skin that have a temporary effect.
12.Can AdiStem be used in combination with other cosmetic treatments?
Yes. Other cosmetic treatments may further enhance the effect of AdiStem and also stimulate the re-injected cells. Such treatments include non-ablative lasers, light chemical peels, stimulating creams and ultrasonic facials.
