African Crisis

Much of horn of Africa was struck in the summer of 2011 by one of the worst droughts in 60 years. Thousands of Africans have died, millions are in urgent need of aid and more people are inrisk. Many organizations help all this people with food and medical care, but… Is that the best way to help? Establishing and educational program for stop births and use money for a food securityinfrastructure would be the best way to help.
Africans always have babies, even if they don’t have enough food to feed them . their traditions says that they should have many children, but if theycontinue doing that the number of victims of starving will increase. Educational programs should be implemented to stop that that. Stop having sex is not an obligation, but the use of condoms shouldnot be forgotten. If people want to help starving people in Africa but not in a direct way (food), they would help with condoms to stop deaths.
In the other hand, the only water were we can find incountries with the crisis is not healthy and it is full of diseases such as malaria, intestinal worm infections as well as bacteria that can lead to deadly diarrheal infections. So the firstthing to begin a food security infrastructure is to have an infrastructure to clean water. Clean water is the first step to stop deaths and return to the countries self-sufficient by rebuilding theiragriculture.
At last, in markets were food is sold, there is no sanitary system to provide people of safe food, as already said, there is no clean water to clean sellers hand and to clean food too.Meat is sold at open sun, which is not only unhygienic, the meat often defrost in the sun before it is sold. The unsold meat is put back in feeezers overnight, and that process can last weeks or evenmonths until it is sold. Other thing is that when the food have to be transported to other parts, they do it in in open trucks cooled by ice cubes or blocks, a very unhygienic action.
