Alcohol in Adolescents
They have serious alcohol problems. Statistics show that 50 percent ofadolescents experience at least one drink of alcohol and over 20 percent has reported to drinking the time they reach the eighth grade.
Approximately 20 percent of 8th graders and almost 50 percent of 12thgraders have consumed alcohol within the past 30 days.
Twelve graders, almost 30 percent report drinking on three or more occasions per month.
Approximately 30 percent of 12th graders engage in heavyepisodic drinking, now popularly termed “binge” drinking—that is, having at least five or more drinks on one occasion within the past 2 weeks—and it is estimated that 20 percent do so on more thanone occasion.
Alcohol at times is the cause of some accident with adolescent between ages of 16 to 21. Alcohol contributes to the brain damage and implements poor performance at school or work.Early intervention and prevention is the key to prevent adolescent development problems with the alcohol. The statistics show our teenagers have serious problems with the alcohol. We have to find outwhy our adolescent find so attach to drink or to get drunk. We have a serious situation in our society. The drinking in the adolescent is a real problem to our society or we just wrote a statisticsto continue our research in social problems.

Young people were killing to use underage alcohol and illegal drugs combined.Adolescent have serious issues related with the alcohol.
Drinking and Driving. The cause of death among young ages 15 to 20 are the motor vehicle crashes.
