Alcohol and Drugs

Alcohol and drugs has become a social problem worldwide that affects many people, especially teenagers. This problem occurs because the youth is in adevelopmental stage where he or she is faced with countless difficult situations and potential stress. At this age, the teenager is looking for their autonomy, and thus begins to haveits own criteria to decide what is right or wrong, or what kind of group socialize. At this point, the young is exposed more frequently to risky behaviors where he or she hasto face situations of threat. Clearly we see how people of all ages are attracted by many media (such as music, television, etc.) to consume alcohol, and in other cases are thefriendships that encourage the person to make use of any drug. The age of onset for alcohol and drugs is becoming more early, since there are many reasons why these young peopleresort to these means. Some do it to feel good and having fun. Others do it to forget the stress and rest. This is one of the alternatives that many adolescent seek to escape fromthe routine and evade their problems and responsibilities. On the other hand, others claim that its consumption is to be comfortable at parties. For some young people find itdifficult to adjust to today's society because many do not drink alcohol or use drugs, so in order to be accepted and not rejected they must act against their own will. It isimportant that young people think and analyze the damage caused by addiction to these types of substances that every time they become in a severe problem. It is also essential thatthese people change their attitude and learn to love themselves because not only drugs and heavy alcohol use destroys the health but also destroys families, and even their own life.
