Now in 2010 to drive 25 miles in a Toyota Prius it costs $1.39, to drive a Ford Escape its $2.17, and to drive a GMCSierra its $3.31. The overall annual fuel cost in 2005 for the Toyota Prius was $905, for the Ford Escape it was $1,543, and for the GMC Sierra it was $2,606. The overall annual fuel cost in 2010for the Toyota Prius is $834, for the Ford Escape its $1,305, and for the GMC Sierra its $1,985.
These statistics show that all hybrid vehicles are improving a lot every year. Hybrid vehiclesare using less gasoline than normal vehicles. It’s also costing less money than normal vehicles. That is just a short term affect of hybrid vehicles and the long term affect is that in thefuture hybrid vehicles are going to have more miles per gallon than now. Having a hybrid vehicle is better than normal vehicles because its using up less gasoline and its costing less money.
