Our author, George Orwell was a democratic socialist, and wrote this fable aboutthe situation of the URSS. He was critical of Stalin. And in this novel the Old Major represented to Lenin and to Karl Marx in some way. The first key moment for me is in the chapter one and two,when the big pig dies, because is here when everything start, when the rebellion change the destiny of the manor farm. The way how this moment contributes to the relationship between the animals is of apositive manner. The Old Major, how everybody called him, before to die he gave a speech to the all animal of the manor farm about the abuse of the humans to themselves. The Old Major wants to sharehis wisdom with the other animals. He tells them about the day when the man is finally overthrown, when there is no more slavery or cruelty, and when the animals are finally free. The result of thisspeech was the union of the animal farm for the purpose of to do really the Old Major’s words and to do an animal revolution where the foe is the man. All this good intentions and ideals contributefor the creation of a fraternity between the animals and their main motto was that all animals are equal. This beginning is exactly the origin of the book’s name; “Animal farm” and in this part theanimals designated their system of organization as animalism. Moreover, they all sang “beasts of England” a lovely tune eliciting warm and fuzzy feelings of togetherness.
