What is Architecture?
Architecture is both science and art, and it is a cultural expression of every region in the world, which contains its thinkingways and the way of live in a determinate geography area
Architecture in the Past…
The architecture was born in the moment where the man built his own refuges in the pre-Hispanic age, an exampleof these constructions is Stonehenge that is not clearly its use, but architecture was born as a way of looking for the balance and the beauty in Greece age. They established three classicarchitecture orders: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. One of its more important constructions is the Pantheon.
After the romantic style came, this is characterized by his big and lugubrious constructions, as thetower of Pisa, then started the Gothic style, with his high needles and colorful windows , as Notre dame cathedral. Finally the baroque style came, and there are characterized by its lots ofadornments, his high columns and his domes, as the Basilica of san Pedro.
What about Architecture in the present?
Now, the architecture in the Peru does not have one style or an own style, is arepresentation of the miscegenation of races in the country . The architecture here design almost always according to the tastes and the ideas of the owner, and look for the comfort of his habitants, for that itis very different in every region of the country, and more developed in the capital.
In the world Architecture is minimalist, and there are “Intelligent Buildings”, which can pay our debts andregulate the temperature according to the climate. The most important architects of modern age are Mies Van Der Rohe and Frank Lloyd Wright.
