How many albums have you sold around the world?
I've sold over fifteen million albums and ten million
in singles around the world.
From what age did you start playingmusic to the public?
At age 15, but when i was a kid i have played an
instruments; the music was what entertainment me. My father
and my five brothers taught me how to play
flute andguitar, which is what I used for all my life.
What genre and what was the name of your first band?
My first band was called Ekhymosis, gender was Thrash
Metal and Heavy Metal, I started theband with a friend called
Andres Garcia, who I knew one day, when I needed repair
my guitar and he knew how to repair it.
What was the name that threw the first solo album and what year?
Myfirst album was called Look closely and went on sale in the
2000.
When did you start as a soloist?
In the year two thousand after the band broke up, the same year
I debuted with my firstsolo album called "Look
Good ".
How many children do you have and how are they called?
I have a total of 3 children, two girls and a boy, Luna,
Paloma and Dante.
What is the name ofyour wife, and she has a profession?
My wife's name is Karen Martinez, she was Queen of Cartagena,
now she is a model and actress, according to Billboard magazine we
labeled as one of themost famous couples in Latin America;
she acted in novels like The poster of toads, Final Time,
Love a thousand, and others.
What was the name of your producer when you started as soloist?My producer was Gustavo Santaolalla, when the record companies
denied to sponsor me, he was the one who saw my potential and that
reached an agreement in the year two thousand.
What are themost important awards you've won?
I have won many awards but I think the most important are
the Barquisimeto Top Festival, the MTV Latin America and
several Grammys through my career.
