The person we admire
The person that we admire is Bon jovi. His real name is John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.
He was born on March 2, 1962 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
By his earlyteens he was hanging out at local clubs, convinced that one day he will be a rock star. He began playing piano and guitar in 1975 at age of 13 with his first band “Raze”. At 16 Bon Jovimet David Bryan and formed a band called “Atlantic City Expressway”. Still in his teens Bon Jovi played in the band “John Bongiovi and the Wild Ones” By 1980 he formed another band“The Rest”, he recorded his first single “Runaway”.
Jon gave David a called, and he also called to Alec John Such, Tico Torres and guitarist Richie Sambora to form a band together.During a show in New York 1983 the band caught the attention of record executive o Derek Shulman, who signed them to PolyGram. It was Shulmall who changed John Bongiovi’s name to BonJovi.
After his album “Runaway” in 1985 he recorded his second album “7800 Fahrenheit”, followed by “Slippery When Wet” which “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Wanted Dead or Alive” wheresuccess.
The band went into temporary retirement in 1989. As a solo artist Bon Jovi has received numerous awards for his work and appeared in his first movie “Young Guns II” forwhich he won a Golden Globe for best song “Blaze of Glory”.
In 1994 the band released another album “Keep the Faith”. The band regrouped 2 years later to record the Grammy-nominatedalbum “Crush”, which “It’s my life” and “Thank you for lovin’ me” were success too.
In 2002, they recorded another album “Bounce” which “Hook me up” and “All about lovin’ you” werealso success.
Finally, in 2009 Bon Jovi recorded “The Circle” writing and co-produced by Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora which coincides with the 25 anniversary of the band.
