How to Extract a Zip File Using 7-Zip Quick Menu
1. 2. 3. Locate the zip file you wish to uncompress and right click.Select 7-Zip from the menu. Select Extract files…

Select the location for the unzipped files by typing into the Extract to field You can also browse to your location by using the button.



If the zip file is password protected, you will need to supply the password. Click OK.

You can also use the Extract Here option which will unpack the file tothe current location. a. Any folder structure defined in zipped file will be retained.

You will be prompted for the password if one was used to encrypt the zip file.

10. The final methodto unzip the file is the Extract to “Filename\”. 11. This method will create a folder in the current location of the zip file with the same name of the zip file and unpack the contents of the zip fileto that folder.

How to Create a Zip File Using 7-Zip Quick Menu
1. Locate the File(s) / Folder(s) you wish to compress and right click. Select 7-Zip from the menu. Click Add to Archive….2. 3.

The Add to Archive window appears. Name the archive (zip) file in the Archive text box. You can change the location where your zip file is created by selecting the button.
