RoadCalcTM Features

• Layout your roadway corridor and define all pertinent alignments using graphic or numeric input. Associate up to 100 alignments with each sub-project, allowing for very complex geometry to be effectively designed. Each alignment can be associated to a point on a design section so that the point will move to meet the offset. • Manually input curve, spiral or superelevation information or use interactivespeed tables to design your curves based on a design speed. Select a speed table and design speeds update whenever this information is changed. • Enter your calculated superelevation zones by the station values of key superelevation transition zones, or by distances between the key locations. • Have superelevated sections properly adjust shoulder cross-slopes by specifying high-side and low-siderollover parameters. • Represent storm pipes, culverts, gas lines, etc., by converting any 3-D CAD entity to a utility. Storm and sanitary pipes are automatically added to your utility list and are annotated in your cross-sections and profile. • Define right-of-way alignments to force your tie slopes to stay inside construction limits. • Advanced features easily handle gap and overlap stationequations, safety treatments for shoulder rollover and unequal spiral lengths. • Easily set variable offset distances for adding passing or turning lane alignments. • A variety of printed reports specific to alignments are available to document your work.
