There are many organizations, corporations,governments, schools, private citizens and service providers that all own pieces of the infrastructure, but there is no one body that owns it all.
No one actually owns the Internet, and no single person ororganization controls the Internet in its entirety.
The Internet is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and it relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to othernetworks.
INTRODUCTION
Everything began in the decade of them 60’s; the American government developed a system of communication for his military supercomputers using the telephonic lines. It wasthe Agency of Defense Advanced Research Project (DARPA) it is an agency of the Department of Defense of the United States responsible for the development of new technologies for military use. DARPAwas a person in charge of giving funds to develop many technologies that have had a great impact in the world, including networks of computers (beginning with ARPANET, which later developed asInternet), as well as NLS, which was both a system of hypertext and a predecessor of the user's graphical contemporary interface.
For being a development financed with funds of government, this servicedoes not recover and has owner. Nowadays Internet is administered by the Internet Corporation for the Names and the Assigned Numbers (ICANN) is the authority that coordinates the assignment of theonly identifiers in Internet, including names of domain, directions of Internet protocol, and numbers of the port of the protocol and of parameters.
The ICANN has his headquarters in California,supervised by an International Board of directors with technical, commercial, academic communities and NGO. The government of the United States continues having a paper favoured in changes approved in the...
