Cerro Alegre:
The hill's urbanization began when the lands available in the city's narrow flat plain became saturated at the beginning of the 19th century. Theperfumed gardens and colorful façades ended up giving the hill its name: Cerro Alegre. More English could be heard on its streets than Spanish. In ours times thecerro alegre retains its residential character and the old shops remain, but the homes have been renovated by new residents or turned into lodging ranging from boutiquehotels to student residences. Cafés, art galleries, and clothing shops have appeared. Residents travel in the El Peral elevator together with office workerspassing through the hill.

Cerro Artilleria:
Cerro Artillería has three of Valparaiso's main attractions: Paseo 21 de Mayo, theNavy and Maritime Museum – formerly the Navy School – and the Artillería elevator, which takes its passengers from the Plaza Aduana to above the port. The Paseo 21de Mayo provides a privileged view of the bay of Valparaiso to the north and the port activities at the foot of the hill. It is an obligatory stop for tourists who,buy traditional handcrafts from the many artisans there. Every 31 December the "New Year in the Sea" show is observed by hundreds of tourists from this privilegedlocation.
I recommend the hills of Valparaiso because are very beauty and full of magic. Every corner of their hills are impregnate in their culture. His amazingmurals and elevators are full of history and beautiful landscapes.
