The north part of our country has beautiful places, but most of the tourists and as well the tourist accommodation sector prefers closer places to the capital or the coast in order toexplode the attractions that we can offer. As for example we have a lot of competitors in the beach tourism such as: Tesoro Beach Hotel, Decameron, Bahia Dorada Hotel, Pacific Paradise Hotel, LasVeraneras Resort; among others, creating a great market, but the problem is that if you analyze offer vs. demand the second one is lower than the first one.
We have a lot of tourism companies offeringtours in volcanoes and as well mountains, but a few have seen the area of opportunity we have in La Palma, has fresh weathers and a lot of handcraft variety. This city is located in Chalatenango, 84kilometers from San Salvador and only 8 Kilometers from Honduras frontier known as El Poy.
To find out the present status of this place we are going to develop a SWOT analysis for this city. The reasonwhy we have selected this city is because has different options to visit on the same place, people can relax and enjoy a different kind of fun as family, avoiding the typical party environment thatinvolves, drinks and dancing, that most of the places in our country have adopted as part of attractions for tourism.
