Racial segregation has always been a major issue in the United States that continues nowadays although at a totally different level. We can clearly see it with Barak Obama, who since 2008 besidesbeing the 44 president of the USA is the first black man in the White house. This would have been impossible without the struggle of several generations, that it the past fought for equality and morespecifically during the 50´s and 60´s with the civil right movement. Does it ring a bell the name of Rosa parks? Or maybe Malcolm X?
He was a Muslim pastor (that for the record converted the boxerCassius Clay best known as Mohamed Ali) that preached the unification of the Africa Diaspora free from America and European domination.
What about the black panthers? It´s a revolutionary movementformed in 1966 by bobby seal and Huey P. Newton protect black population in ghettos from police brutality. It is the sole black organization in the entire history of black struggle against slavery andoppression in the United States that was armed and promoted a revolutionary agenda, and it represents the last great thrust by the mass of black people for equality, justice and freedom.

Yes, all of them are the main characters of the civil right movement but before getting to them, do you know how was live for black people before the civil right movement?
