COCONUT CUSTARD

The Puerto Ricans desserts are delightful. They are a delicacy full of tropical flavors. Coconut is a delicious fruit that is used in various Puerto Rican desserts. One of thedesserts that is made with coconut is the coconut custard.
The coconut custard is tasty. To prepare the coconut custard you need to buy various ingredients. You need half a dozen eggs, half a cup ofsugar, and two cup of milk. You also need a jar of grated coconut.
When you have all the ingredients you will proceed to separate the amounts necessary to make the coconut custard. Take a measuring up ahalf cup of sugar. Then pour two cups of milk. Next break three eggs and put them in a bowl.
After separating the measurements of the ingredients, you will begin to prepare the custard. Put the milkto boil in a pan and when it is hot it removes from the heat. Then mix the sugar with the eggs, whisk slightly and pour the mixture into the hot milk. Add the grated coconut to the mixture and whiskthoroughly with a kitchen spatula.
In a separate pan will prepare the caramel. To do this, put two cups of sugar to heat and the sugar is going to melting slowly. When sugar takes a golden browncolor, pour it into the bottom of a pie pan, or the mold you want. It is important to do it quickly because the caramel hardens quickly.
Then pour the mixture into the mold over the caramel and cover thepan with cling wrap to avoid spilling the mixture. Next you are going to need another mold with water. Put the mold with the mixture and the caramel into the mold with water, ensuring that the waterin the other mold is covered, at least until the other mold half.
Finally put the molds in the oven which must be preheated to medium heat. Let them cook for 40 minutes. After this time check ifthey are cooked by inserting a knife into the custard.
