* Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, materialhandling, and packaging, and often security.
* Logistics is defined as a business planning framework for the management of material, service, information and capital flows. It includes theincreasingly complex information, communication and control systems required in today's business environment
* The procurement, maintenance, distribution, and replacement of personnal and material.* The process of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient, cost effective flow and storage of raw materials, in-process inventory, finished goods and related information from point oforigin to point of consumption for the purpose of meeting customer requirements.
SUPPLY CHAIN
* System of organizations, people, technology, activities, information and resources involved inmoving a product or service from supplier to customer.
