← Wi-Fi. Using Wi-Fi you can connect many computers and have access to Internet in all of them.← Cable/ DSL Modem. Connect computers with one modem.
← Wires: Connect computers by wires.

Types of Computer Networks:

LAN: Local Area Networks

A local area network (LAN) is a computernetwork covering a small physical area, like a home, office, or small group of buildings, such as a school, or an airport. These computers are connected by wires.

LAN Topologies

WAN: Wide Area Networks

Wide Area Network (WAN) is a computer network that covers a broad area (i.e., any network whose communications links cross metropolitan, regional, or national boundaries). WANs are used to connect LANs and other types of networks together, so that users and computers in one location can communicate with users and computers in otherlocations. They are connected by modems. The largest and most well-known example of a WAN is the Internet.

WLAN: Wireless Local Area Networks

A wireless LAN (WLAN) is a wireless local area networkthat links two or more computers or devices. This gives users the mobility to move around within a broad coverage area and still be connected to the network.
