Manabí Ecuador is a province located in the central-west location of continental Ecuador, whose legal unit is located in the geographical region of the coast, which inturn is divided by the crossing of the equator. Its capital is Portoviejo. Bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean, north of the province of Esmeraldas, on the east by the province of Santo Domingode los Tsáchilas and Rivers, south to the province of Santa Elena and south and east by the province of Guayas. On the coast is the port city of Manta, which is an important fishing and chargetransfer of Ecuador. Manabí is the third most populated province of Ecuador.
